His influential designs include the new Horizon LED Light for Humanscale (with Peter Stathis), the million-selling “Bulldog Chair” for Knoll and the ‘McCoy Collection’ of tables, seating and accessories. Artifort: Original Vintage rare 1980s Artifort model 960 Quadrio sofa designed by Michael McCoy in 1985. In 1936, the company employed a permanent designer in the shape of Theo Ruth. But from 1958, design occupied an even more prominent role in the policy of Artifort. Kho Liang Ie was appointed as aesthetic consultant and he brought in various international designers including Pierre Paulin and Geoffrey Harcourt.
