A beautifully proportioned Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern wooden bowl, crafted from richly grained jatoba (Brazilian cherry), showcasing a deep, warm tone and exceptional natural figuring.

Expertly turned with a refined, organic silhouette, this piece embodies the essence of Nordic design: simplicity, functionality, and a celebration of material. The flowing grain pattern wraps seamlessly around the form, enhanced by a lustrous hand-finished surface that reflects light elegantly.

Its generous scale and sculptural presence make it equally suitable as a functional serving bowl or as a decorative centerpiece in a modern or vintage interior.

While unmarked, the bowl closely relates to Danish modern production of the 1950s–1970s, where workshops specialized in high-quality turned hardwood objects with similar proportions and finish. Comparable pieces were produced by Danish makers such as Digsmed, known for their elegant, organically shaped teak bowls and kitchenware during the mid-20th century.

Excellent vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautiful patina and surface sheen.

Returns

If you wish to return your item from outside the EU, you are entitled to do so if this is communicated within 3 days of arrival. The client is liable for repackaging and shipment back to the warehouse in the Netherlands. All costs involved, transport both ways, insurance, custom made wooden crate, custom handling cost and VAT, must be paid by the customer.
