This striking postmodernist piece embodies minimalist sophistication while paying homage to the avant-garde aesthetics of the era.

At the heart of its allure is a stunning bluish glass top, a rare feature that adds a soft, ethereal depth to its sleek silhouette. The beveled edges enhance its refined presence, subtly reflecting light to create an interplay of transparency and form. Rising from the center, a bold red resin sphere serves as a sculptural handle—both a functional and artistic statement. This element, perched atop a slender black lacquered rod, injects a playful yet refined contrast to the cool-toned glass.

The table is anchored by a circular cast iron base, whose textured, tactile surface provides an industrial counterpoint to the smooth elegance of the glass and lacquered metal. The combination of materials—glass, resin, lacquered steel, and cast iron—creates a dialogue between lightness and solidity, function and form, simplicity and statement.

Fontana Arte – A Legacy of Innovation in Glass and Design

Founded in 1932 by architect Gio Ponti and glassmaker Luigi Fontana, Fontana Arte quickly became one of Italy’s most prestigious design houses.
