Created during a deeply introspective period in which Cabiddu struggled to devote time to his practice, this work stands as both a personal manifesto and a universal reminder: make time.

Subtle yet resolute, the surface of the totem reveals an engraved inscription—“Trova Tempo,” meaning Find Time. These words are not merely decorative, but an integral part of the sculpture’s identity, inviting reflection and intimacy.

Carved from Pietra di Vicenza, a historic limestone known for its warm tonality and enduring strength, the piece bridges contemporary abstraction with Italy’s classical sculptural tradition. Standing at just over 1.5 meters tall, “Trova Tempo” carries a quiet monumentality that works beautifully in both indoor and sheltered outdoor spaces.

Its vertical form and minimalist aesthetic make it an exceptional focal point for a contemplative garden, entry hall, or curated gallery setting. Though his teenage years were more focused on music than art, his love for drawing returned full force around age 18, leading him to Paris and back to Geneva for drawing courses.

In 1987, Alberto moved to the province of Vicenza, where he fell in love with sculpture, experimenting with local "Vicenza stone," marble, wood, and clay. He learned from artists like sculptor Agostino Gallio and ceramicist Antonio Visentin, but mostly, he's a self-taught artist.
