C.A. Lion Cachet (1864–1945) was a pivotal figure in early 20th-century Dutch decorative arts. Originally trained as a woodcarver, he became widely known for his bold, integrated design approach, uniting architecture, furniture, textiles, and graphic art. He was particularly influential in the interior design of Dutch ocean liners, where his distinctive Art Deco aesthetic flourished.

Charles André Lion Cachet (1864-1945) was a Dutch furniture designer and architect who worked during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. He is known for his innovative designs that combined the use of exotic woods, metals, and glass, often with intricate inlay work and geometric patterns.

Lion Cachet studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam and later worked in Paris and London, where he was exposed to the latest design trends and techniques. He returned to Amsterdam in the late 1890s and established his own furniture workshop, where he produced his most iconic designs.

His furniture designs were influenced by a range of styles, including the Arts and Crafts movement, Japanese art, and Art Nouveau. His designs often featured strong geometric shapes, intricate details, and a sophisticated use of materials.
