Dimensions: H. 48 cm (18.9 in) x D. 24 cm (9.45 in)
A striking Italian table lamp from the 1960s, attributed to Stilnovo. This elegant piece combines refined materials— a cylindrical Carrara marble base, a patinated brass stem and detailing, and a frosted glass diffuser held by brass pins. The geometric shade creates a soft, ambient glow when lit, highlighting the lamp’s sophisticated balance of form and function.
Stilnovo, founded in Milan in 1946 by designer Bruno Gatta, was a pioneer of postwar Italian lighting design. Known for its daring modernism and innovative use of materials, the firm quickly became one of the leading names of the “Italian economic miracle” era, producing both residential and architectural lighting. Their designs are now highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs of 20th-century Italian design.
This lamp embodies Stilnovo’s signature aesthetic: clean lines, sculptural presence, and timeless elegance. A perfect addition to a refined interior, whether as a statement piece on a side table, console, or nightstand.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Brass shows a beautiful patina
